Dear Parents/Carers

Start dates for September are at the end of this letter. It is important that children are in school for the beginning of the new school year in September as this is the time they make friends, get to know their new teachers and learn new classroom rules and expectations. Therefore, leave of absence for holidays will not be authorised in Term 1 (September-October).

New Reception (September 2012) Parents’ Meeting-will be held in the infant hall at 7pm on Wednesday 23^rd May. If you know parents who have children starting school please remind them of this important meeting.

Walk to School Week 21^st -25^th May- as an eco-school we aim to do our bit to try and reduce carbon emissions, including encouraging parents to walk to school with their children and leave the car at home whenever possible. If you come a long way and can walk half way that would be good too.

Summer Fayre 6^th July 5-7pm. We need volunteers to get involved in the summer fayre- you can do as much or as little as you like. Maybe you can just help for one hour on the day- every bit helps. Look out for the Friends’ letters re the Summer Fayre.

Friends’ Cake Sale 31^st May- please support the cake sale either by donating, buying or helping run the stall on Thursday 31^st. Donations of cakes, particularly on a theme of the Queen’s Jubilee, will be welcome from 28^th May onwards.
